Of the lower end gin brands that are widely distributed, Beefeater is one of the best offering a classic London Dry profile with good botanical freshness. This 47% ABV bottling ups the ante on the standard issue 40% and arrives in a special direct import / 1 litre format. Take advantage!

Tasting note: Clear. Slightly limp, medium fresh, juniper forward bouquet shows a peppery edge and also hints at orris root and coriander. Creamy entry with a moderate middle-burst of juniper, citrus peel and pepper. Finishes brisk, almost vodka-like with frail juniper, citrus lozenge and mineral through the aftertaste. Old school London Dry for general mixing. Remarkably soft given the ABV. 47% Alc./Vol.
