Black & White Buchanan's Choice Blended Scotch Whisky - 1970s Bottling
Note: Product has come from a private collection and as such has some minor scuffing/scratches/handling marks. Actual product pictured.
Note: No bottle size or ABV stated.
Some may recall the old Black & White bottlings and their canine marketing mascots. Considering its age, this genuine antique is in good condition excepting some deterioration to the front label. The capsule is well sealed and the fill level is excellent. Tasting note from a similar French market bottling from the same era below.
Other reviews... Colour: full gold. Nose: rather malty, caramelly, with whiffs of hot bread and roasted peanuts. Maybe not the hugest personality. Mouth: creamy, malty, peatier than on the nose, with also notes of apple juice and apricot pie. Gets a tad too caramelly for my tastes after that but it’s good whisky altogether. Finish: medium long, sweet and smoky. Comments: exactly what we’d call an ‘averagely good Scotch’. Not bland. 74 points - whiskyfun.com
