Booker's Limited Edition 13 Year Old Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey (750ml)

Note: there is a (barely visible) crack in the perspex sliding front beneath the word 'rye'. The bottles were originally glued into the box for transport which has led to a tiny rip on one label. Otherwise excellent condition. One only to sell.

If you've already had the pleasure of tasting Thomas Handy, Van Winkle Family Reserve and Sazerac 18 and are looking for a new rye sensation, here it is. Aged for 13 years, one month and twelve days, this limited edition Bookers has received rave reviews from the likes of Jim Murray, declaring, "If this is not world whisky of the year for 2017, it will be only fragments of molecules away." Rating it a whopping 97.5 points Murray added, "for a big well matured rye it simply doesn't come better than this...brain draining and mind blowing..."

Other reviews... Is this perfect? From the look and nose, yes. Rich caramel and campfire smoke early on; it’s robust, but balanced. Crème brûlée with a sultry smokiness, raw honey with a dusting of nutmeg and a Scotch ale malt profile that’s creamy and mouth-coating. Alas, a heavy bite hides much, needing water to open up. A drop adds complexity, spice, vanilla, chocolate, and licorice.
