Bouvet Brut de Luxe
After many years of ownership by Champagne Taittinger, Bouvet Ladubay is once again fully owned by the Monmousseau family who have continuously run the business since their purchase in 1932. Bouvet Ladubay employs precisely the same wine making process as Grand Marque Champagne, delivering French sophistication at an everyday price.
Pours with a frothy white mousse that shows good hold. Pale straw base wine colour with a fine and persistent bead. Aromas of pears and baked apple are overlaid by some toast and yeast lees with subtle lemon sherbet end notes. Light and fluffy the palate has flavours of baked apple and pears intermixed with yeast lees characters and some bready infusions with a hint of lemon sherbet freshening things up on the vibrant finish. Aftertaste of baked apple, yeast lees and pears with traces of lemon sherbet also evident.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
