Chivas Regal Extra 13 Year Old Sherry Cask Blended Scotch Whisky (700ml)

This is a first for the Australian market and Chivas's first non Travel Retail release in over a decade. It's made using a higher proportion of Oloroso Sherry casks for extra richness and comes matured for one 'extra' year than the standard issue Chivas. Others in the range include a rum and tequila cask finish.

Other reviews.... A new oloroso-forward Chivas positioned to split between the 12 and 18 year olds? I got this. Refined and inviting nose of lemon pith, black fruits, and Kola Kubes. The velvety texture is wonderfully smooth, redolent of an apricot custard Danish, lime zest, raisin, currant, mixed peel, and walnut, with a growing bitter-lemon note. Quite unique finish, like sucking on lumpy Spanish lemons speckled with spices.
