Cockatoo Grove Organic Extra Virgin Mid-night Olive Oil (500ml)

Mid-Night Olive Oil was born out of an idea to harvest and press organically grown olives in the cooler temperatures of the night, within three hours, to provide a cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil which captures a freshness and flavour unsurpassed by any other producer. Premium quality olives, kept naturally cool in night temperatures of around three degrees, are harvested into small crates to ensure the olives remain in perfect condition. The olives are then water washed, cold pressed and carefully processed at a consistently low temperature to maintain absolute optimal nutrients and flavour.

The result is a fabulous olive oil - best appreciated in a simple fashion with good bread. It offers delightful aromas of ripe apple, sweet spices and almonds along with hints of grassiness accompanied by a luscious velvety feel in your mouth. The vibrant, complex, fruity flavours are matched with a pleasant pepperiness, a measure of complete freshness that's an absolute delight. Cockatoo Grove was established on the historic Cobram Station on the upper Murray by Ken Dugan in 1996. The estate is home to 25,000 olive trees of Italian, Spanish and Israeli origin including Frantoio, Correggiola, Nevadillo Blanco, Leccino, Manzanillo, Koroneiki and Arbequina varieties, specifically chosen for their quality and consistency in producing high quality Olive Oil.
