Craigellachie 19 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (1000ml)

Many of us were enamoured by the beefy style of the 13 Year Old. Just landed is its bigger brother, a duty free only release with six extra years under its belt - and this time in a one litre format. The producer's claim it's a malt to "rival whiskies twice its age." Dave Broom from maltadvocate was certainly impressed. Non chill filtered.

Other reviews... Here, Craigellachie is slimmed down and appears in slightly leaner guise, with an aromatic spritz of vetiver-heavy male cologne coming across first before fresh fruits follow on. More crisp and with slightly more obvious toasted structure. The pineapple distillery character is now dried, before the palate shows sweet chocolate pudding, char, honeysuckle, herbs, and white fruits.
