Deviation Road Altair Brut Rose - DAMAGED LABEL
This wine is predominantly made from Pinot Noir with a small percentage of Chardonnay grapes added for finesse. A buoyant lacy mousse slowly subsides to reveal a salmon pink coloured base that’s finely threaded by a very persistent bead. Attractive strawberry and peach scents meld into baked bread, citrus and yeast lees notes. Mouth watering peach and raspberry fruits have a racy feel with some lively citrus and chalky mineral characters sitting in the background. Crisp acidity finishing dry and invigoratingly fresh.
Alc. 12.5%

55/45% pinot noir/chardonnay. The base vintage is 2018 with reserve wines added; 40 months on lees. Disgorged October, 2021. 8g/L dosage. A finely beaded, salmon-pink sparkling that rates among Australia's best. Confidently presented with complexity and poise, Altair wears a delicate sheen of savoury autolysis with almonds, baked pastry, poached pear, bright red berries aromas. Layer upon layer of delicate flavour, texture and depth. Runs fine, long and so impressive. All class.
