New indie bottler, Danny Saltman arrives on the scene inspired by a twenty year passion for whisky and wine. He specialises in single cask selections finished in complementary wine casks. For this expression, a wine barrel from the boutique Israeli 'Flam winery' was chosen. Given enough time in the glass, this yields a beautiful Linkwood bouquet being oily, fruit-laced and redolent of nashi pear, baked apples and sweet oak while also hinting at beeswax. The malt feels perfectly weighted in the mouth with an impressive rush of flavours mirroring the nose. Showing classic body, texture and length, it's also an unexpectedly intense Linkwood given the middling abv. Tasted from a 15ml sample. 46% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered
