Onto another round of DS Tayman releases, kicking off with a Linkwood finished in a single ex-Syrah wine cask - a running theme in the latest bunch. Typical for Linkwood, extra-long fermentations and large, slow-running stills create a nicely weighted dram. Anticipate a characterful whisky with a rich, oily mouthfeel and lovely ripe orchard fruit character. 299 bottles were produced. Certified kosher. 46% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Baked apple, buttered crumpets, candied orange peel with a backdrop of toasted oak. Palate: A soft gentle sweetness with creamy vanilla, sherbet and hints of sweet red berries. Finish: A pinch of black pepper on strawberries, a silky mouthfeel and a long spicy finish.
