Four Pillars 2022 Australian Christmas Gin (700ml)

While the recipe remains much the same, the labels for Four Pillars Christmas Gin change each year. The artwork on this, the seventh Christmas Gin label was created by the Australian painter, Jane Reynolds. Jane’s art is all about the relationship between colour, form and light. Jane has spent the last twenty years working as an animation artist and producer for visual effects in film and television. In late 2019, she decided to retire from the film industry to focus exclusively on fine art and by 2020 became a fully-fledged painter. For this year’s label, Jane was challenged to come up with one of her signature hyper-real compositions that celebrated the colour and iconography of Christmas. The result is an abstract Christmas tree scene with presents stacked around it, capturing all the elements of Christmas that make us love the festive season so much. 

As for what's inside the bottle, once again, Christmas puddings are distilled, with the gin aged for a year in 100-year-old Muscat barrels. The resulting spirit captures aromatics of classic juniper with a hint of cinnamon, backed up by a rich palate and a hint of sweetness from the Muscat.
