Vaudon VS Fins Bois Cognac (700ml)
While the house of Vaudon produce ‘multi-cru’ blends in combination with Grande Champagne, the heart of the operation is focused on a single cru: Fins Bois, the largest of Cognac's regions. Ugni Blanc vines are planted in light soils made from hard, superficial calcareous clay that bring body and softness to the eaux de vie. Fin Bois cognacs are known to age quickly, developing spice and liquorice notes early on. This is Vaudon's entry-level offering. Amid its stone-fruit fragrance and soft, delicate mouthfeel you'll also find hints of vanilla, fresh pears and fennel. Present day custodians, Anne-Marie Vaudon and Pierre Vaudon continue the family's history and know-how that began in 1771. 40% Alc./Vol.
Notes from the producers... Attack is supple and delicate, a well-known signature from good Fins Bois Cognac’s. A beautiful marriage between a white fruit basket and slight notes of liquorice. The Fins Bois eaux-de-vie bring interesting flavours of fresh berries sustained with an important vanilla ambiance completed by a bouquet with fruits notes like pear or apricot, a beautiful harmony.
