Tasting note: Bright pale gold. Super soft, with a lazy bouquet of pure grain. Second inspection finds weet bix, beeswax and added fruitiness after several minutes aeration followed by hints of green apple. Five years has gone a long way to softening the mouthfeel - this absolutely purrs and with perfect sweet / dry balance. At first firm and grainy, then more buttery and fruity, unraveling with beeswax, restrained oak and light spices to finish. Great stuff! 46% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... Straw yellow/goldenrod color; excellent clarity. Opening sniffs encounter sturdy, concentrated, malty notes that are dry to off-dry and slightly citrusy; later whiffs pick up a small element of oak, vanilla, almond paste, but overall the bouquet is more violin than tuba. Entry is medium-rich, toasted, roasted, grainy, malty and highly piquant/peppery; midpalate is long, floral, toasted, malty. Finishes medium long, very creamy, chewy, delightfully spicy, warming in the throat. 4 Stars. Highly Recommended - Spirit Journal March 2015
