There have been several versions of the 30-year-old Glenfiddich on the market, but like other major brands, the distillery is trying to keep up with the times with increasingly exclusive packaging. This stunning 30 year old joins Glenfiddich's re-imagination of Time Series. Three decades ago, the Master Distiller laid down spirit to create an exemplary malt that is forethought, expectation and anticipation embodied. Three decades, captured and reflected in a graphic and expressive outer packaging, encasing the moment of peak maturation, it evokes moving ribbons, each one frozen in time to form elegant cut-out windows revealing the regal decanter inside. It almost creates the illusion that the bottle is suspended in mid-air. Intensely fruity, with attractive oak characteristics, apple pastries, honey, malt, pressed flowers, dried fruits, fresh pear, vanilla, and polished oak. Exceptionally smooth with balletic grace on the tongue, offering flavors of honey, sweet vanilla, tangy citrus, baked apples, creamy poached pear, and gentle cask spices.
