Glenmorangie Cellar 13 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (1000ml)

The whisky has been exclusively matured in first fill American Oak casks accentuating the vanilla, butterscotch and honey notes that American oak typically imparts. "Cellar 13" refers to the distillery's stone warehouse nearest to the sea shore where the casks were matured. Normally available only as a duty free bottling, we have one only from a private collection of this unusual ten year old expression.

Other reviews...... the butterscotch and honey notes mentioned on the label are spot on...oddly enough, as much as this is the most honey-rich Glenmorangie of them all and a taste bud pleaser from first to last, the use of 100% first fill Bourbon has slightly detracted from the all round brilliance and complexity of the standard 10 year old. 43% Alc./Vol.
