Great Southern Distillery Gin (700ml)

The Great Southern Distillery employs their neutral vodka as the base for this gin. They redistill the spirit in the presence of nine botanicals including Juniper Berries, Anise, Oris Root, Cardamom, Cinnamon bark, Coriander seed, Angelica Root and Fresh Lemon. 'Meen', a botanical native to the South West Coast of Western Australia is also infused.

Tasting note: Pours crystal clear. Good aromatic lift releases scents of pine needle, juniper and ripe lemon. Soft, round palate is semi sweet showing much more ripe lemon than juniper with a touch of peppermint evident. Very gently warming mouth feel. Concludes a little short followed by an aftertaste of juniper, anise and subtle spices. A relatively sweet and citrusy style that’s in the Old Tom mould more so than traditional London Dry. 40% Alc./Vol.
