A Heartwood bottling of whiskies distilled at Larks, drawn from barrels LD218 and LD219.
The casks were filled on April 2006 and bottled May 2016. 450 produced. Tasting note: Deep amber-gold showing thick legs. Attractive scents of strawberry cream sponge cake, ginger bread and dark chocolate. Lovely purity with a creamy entry and semi-sweet tea biscuit and barley sugar flavours followed by a rich, textural, vanilla and cocoa accented finish. Milky-way chocolate bar in the aftertaste. Impressive persistence and balance. Seriously good. 65.6% Alc./Vol.
