Jura is experiencing huge growth with sales more than doubling in global travel retail in 2021. No surprise then that 2022 sees the release of a new collection exclusive to travellers. The “Islanders” are inspired by the creative community on the tiny Isle of Jura. The first in the series, “Barbados Rum Cask” is a partnership with Amy Dunnachie, a native artist who’s passion is to inspire creativity & make luxury jewellery using locally foraged & recycled items. It comes matured in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in 'tropically-flavoured' ex-rum casks from Barbados, to create a light and citrusy malt. 40% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producers... Colour: Golden bronze  Nose: Vibrant and rich tropical fruit, citrus, coconut and natural vanilla. Tropical fruits combine with light stone fruits such as nectarines, with undertones of crystalised ginger and fresh baked brioche. Taste: Enticing sweet notes of vanilla, grilled peaches and syruped bananas. Tropical fruits including spiced mangoes, papaya, ripe passion fruit and deep lime come through. Mouthfeel has creaminess, weight and vibrancy. Notes of almonds, burnished citrus peel and soft spices. Aftertaste: Waves of exotic fruits and spices lead towards warm sweet spice, creaminess and a lingering richness.
