IXA Organic 100% Agave Blanco Tequila (750ml)

Husband and wife team, Melkon Khosrovian and Litty Mathew, began making spirits and liqueurs in 2004. Their company "Greenbar Collective", employs organic ingredients as the couple believe they translate into better flavours. Greenbar also uses lightweight bottles, 100% recycled labels and plants a tree for every bottle sold. Presently they offer the world’s biggest portfolio of organic spirits and liqueurs.

According to the producers, making this bottle took 20 lbs of agave and 31 square feet of land to grow. The land and nearby water is kept free of conventional fertilisers and pesticides.

Tasting note: Brilliant clarity in the transparent silvery blush. Lifted salt and pepper top note over sweeter scents of green tomato chutney, roast capsicum and hints of beeswax. Light, waxy, gently spicy entry has vanilla mingling with oily agave notes, carried well into the finish by the lengthy salt and pepper fade. Good persistence. Nicely done. 40% Alc./Vol.
