Rye has always been a part of the Jack Daniel's mash bill, but it's never taken the lead. Until now. First offered around 2013, the Rested Rye release continues on from the Unaged (white) Rye offering (batch 1). Produced from a mash bill of 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley, it was aged for two years in new barrels with a combination of toasting levels. At the time of release, it was first new mash bill to be used at the distillery in over a century. Now quite collectable. One only. 40% Alc./Vol.
