Jawbox Belfast Cut Classic Dry Gin (700ml)

Another Gin entry from Ireland, named in honour of one of our Belfast's lasting legacies, the Belfast sink, a.k.a. the Jawbox. Slowly distilled in a traditional copper pot still, botanicals are steeped overnight in the warm spirit. As well as this, three of the botanicals use the vapour extraction method to preserve their delicate flavour and aroma. This is reportedly the first Irish Gin to be 100% harvested, distilled and bottled by hand on one estate.

Tasting note: [20ml sample] The nose builds with good freshness and intensity, accenting piney, sappy, green aromas over hints of citrus peel and white pepper. Middle-weight with a juniper and citrus led delivery. Budding spices gain momentum towards the finish. Fades with hints of lemon verbena / home-made lemonade and faint juniper. A well crafted London dry with a pleasing interplay of spice and citrus. The producers recommended trying it with Ginger Ale and a wedge of lime. 43% Alc./Vol.
