Jim Beam Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey (750ml)

An unusual Beam edition which reportedly ups the ante on the company's regular releases. Less than 1% of Beam's output qualifies for inclusion in this 95 proof bottling. That's still a big number, given the incredible volumes the distillery produces, however, add hand selection to the process and you have a whiskey that's first and foremost bottled for flavour.

Spicy aromas and flavors of sassafras, peanut-cashew-peach bar, caramel corn, and dried pineapple with a silky, bright, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a tingling, refreshing, long baking spices and herbs, chocolate mint, pepper, and oak finish. More oak, intensity, depth, maturity, and character than the standard Jim Beam white. Darker sugars too, showing more caramel and light toffee, less honeyed corn and vanilla (although those notes are certainly still present). Subtle mint and cinnamon spice, along with soft fruit and light tobacco on the finish round out the flavor profile. A bourbon comfortably positioned between Jim Beam white and the more premium Signature Series releases.
