Note: Some minor scuffing to the outer of the presentation box. This unique tequila has been introduced in celebration of Cuervo’s long family tradition of tequila production that spans more than two hundred years. The family selects only the best of its tequilas, maturing them in a private cellar. Family member, Juan Domingo Beckmann recalls:"I was five years old and I remember being here with my father and grandfather preparing Reserva’s limited edition for 1972. This tequila was a private reserve, shared exclusively with family and close personal friends; that is why the name of this product is Reserva de la Familia, which means The Family Reserve."

Cuervo Reserva de la Familia Añejo Tequila uses 100% Blue Agave in its production. These are hand-selected agaves, carefully cultivated for dozens of years. The agave is then baked in antique ovens of stone and clay , the sugars are then extracted and double distilled. Finally, Reserva is aged a minimum of three years in new French limousin and American oak barrels to produce a stunning tequila experience. The Cuervo Reserva comes beautifully packaged in a unique presentation box. Every year, Jose Cuervo offers the opportunity to appreciate Mexican artists through its box designs. In this instance, the 2007 Cuervo presents Pedro Friedeberg whose work deals with irony and esoteric imagery [see box inset left of bottle.]
