Killawarra Brut Cremant
Killawarra Brut Cremant is a non-vintage blend made from several vintages of base wines to create a bottle fermented sparkling wine that is fragrant and full flavoured with attractive, soft, creamy flavours and a clean, dry finish. The wine was blended predominantly from the classic champagne grape varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with the inclusion of a small proportion of aged reserve wine. This, together with the diversity of blending material has contributed to the underlying complexity.
Maturation: All of the component wines underwent secondary fermentation in the bottle and were matured on their yeast lees in the traditional method.
Tasting Note:
The wine is straw-gold in colour with a gentle fine bead. The bouquet has lifted, flowery fruit and well integrated 'bread' yeast maturation characters. Full, soft and complex, the slightly sweet palate displays delicious fruit flavours and a creamy, soft middle palate. It finishes fresh, crisp and dry in the Brut tradition. Drink now.
