Koval Organic Caraway Liqueur (375ml)

Koval distillery (Est. 2008) represent an interesting project in micro distillation. Founders, Robert and Sonat Birnecker, gave up academic careers to bring the distilling traditions of Robert's Austrian grandfather to America. Five organically grown grains (Rye, Oat, Wheat, Millet, and Spelt) are harvested locally for distillation into single grain whiskies. The company has also ventured into an eclectic range of liqueurs.

Tasting note: Pale gold appearance. Distinctively caraway on the nose with excellent purity - smells like caraway infused dark rye bread. Light and semi sweet, the palate offers caraway and dill-like flavours. Finishes sufficiently fresh to balance and continues with moderate persistence. Certified Organic. 20% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... Hazy light golden color. Aromas fresh baked caraway rye bread are attractive with a silky off-dry light body and relaxed honeyed dried fruit accented finish. A fun cocktail ingredient.
