Lustau Blanco Vermut (750ml)

As well as having a long history of making sherry and local specialties, like Ponche, there's a tradition of producing vermouth in Jerez. Lustau's is based on an old recipe, starting with high quality sherries to get a more 'natural' character than vermouths fortified with raw alcohol. This Blanco is a perfect example. A blend of two wines - a dry, minerally and crisp Fino sherry and a sweet and floral Moscatel resulting in a Summer sipping vermouth that's brimming with flavour.

Tasting note: Brilliant gold. Fragrant, mildly bitter aroma with a strong herbal accent (gentian, wormwood and thyme) as well as hints of old roses, grapefruit, dried apricot, mixed citrus peel and a touch of cinnamon. Full and fresh in the mouth with a grapey / citrus burst and delicately bitter medley of grassy, herbaceous flavours drying towards the finish. Vibrant and refreshing. Like a dry and a sweet in one. 15% Alc./Vol.
