MacNair’s Lum Reek 21 Year Old Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A marriage of single malts from Islay and Speyside, thus combining both peated and unpeated spirit to create a balanced and complex malt. The recipe, concocted by industry veteran and Master Distiller / Blender of the Year, Billy Walker, includes well-aged GlenAllachie single malt. The small batch expression was matured to perfection at Glenallachie in a combination of Oloroso sherry, red wine and virgin oak casks sourced from around the globe. The result is bottled without added colouring or chill-filtration, and is reported to be brimming with dark chocolate, vanilla fudge, and cinnamon buns, all with gentle peat undertones. Since its release, this vatted beauty has scooped a host of enviable awards including World’s Best Blended Malt (World Whiskies Awards, 2020), Best Blended Malt Scotch (San Francisco World Spirits Competition, 2021) and Master (Scotch Whisky Masters, 2021).
