MV Clover Hill Exceptionelle

MV stands for multi vintage. Made from a blend of 59% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 6% Pinot Meunier it opens with a lacy white mousse that dissipates to reveal a pale straw coloured base that has pale gold tinged edges. A fine persistent bead weaves its way through its core. Citrus and oily toast like aromas intermix with yeast lees, hints of lime and chalky mineral notes. The racy, tightly knit palate sees flavours of citrus, yeast lees and green apple overlay chalky mineral elements. Tense and sculptured it finishes dry with crisp acidity and a vividly refreshing aftertaste.
