Nicks Secret Loire Valley Blanc de Blancs Brut

It’s no secret that the Loire Valley is the largest producer of sparkling wine outside of Champagne and makes some of the worlds most affordable Sparkling wines. This Blanc de Blancs is made from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes and employs the Methode Traditionelle production process made famous in Champagne. Its aged for a minimum of 9 months.

A frothy white mousse dissipates to reveal a pale straw colour with a very fine bead that shows excellent persistence. Citrus and pear aromas meld into some baked characters followed by subtle quince notes. On the palate pear and lemon sherbet like flavours combine over some subtle toast and lees characters. Fresh dry finish with a slight creaminess to the mid palate. Aftertaste of pear, citrus, some oily baked bread characters and lees. Limited stocks at this price.
