Oban 14 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) - Older Bottling

Oban has been described as one of the sootiest malts and, in a way, a true West-coaster beside Springbank and Ben Nevis. Exactly when this particular edition was on the market is difficult to say. It has to be post 1980 as it was around then that the 750ml format was phased out. The presentation matches up with whiskyfun's review of a late 1990s bottling. That fits the timeline of other articles in the private collection from which it was sourced.
