A bit of an odd age statement, but this is a Travel Retail bottling, so you can expect it to be a little unusual. Perhaps it needed an extra year to combine the sweetness and spice with the classic coastal notes that Old Pulteney is renowned for. Distillery Manager, Malcolm Waring, hand-selected American and Spanish oak casks to achieve the profile. With traditional warehouses exposed to the invigorating sea air, there will be subtle coastal chord ringing through this dram. 43% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producers... Nose: Rich with deep sweetness. Notes of caramelised apple, warm custard and cinnamon spiced pastries. Towards the end, we see fresh rye bread with bright orange citrus, stone fruits and delicate oak dryness. Flavour: Deep sweetness and spice. Toffee, nutmeg and caramelised popcorn envelop the palate and continue to develop into rich blossom honey, roasted almonds and creamy vanilla. Finish: Spices and honey linger on with a welcome tannic dryness in the form of dried fruits.
