Old Pulteney Stroma Malt Whisky Liqueur (500ml)

Hailing from the far North East of Scotland, off the Caithness coast, Stroma Malt Whisky Liqueur takes its name from the windswept Caithness Isle. Stroma originates from the Norse meaning ‘island in the stream’ which also refers to the dangerous currents on the island’s shores, including the infamous ‘Swilkie’ whirlpool.

Tasting note: Viscous bright amber / polished copper colour. Hints of whisky and matchbook evident in the initial stages, sweetening to reveal aromas of honey, sponge cake and sweet spice. Creamy, honeyed-malt delivery is also pleasingly spicy; finish is sweet but not cloying and reveals more of the whisky. Well composed. Serve neat or over ice. 35% Alc./Vol.
