Here's another that arrived a little late for Christmas in Australia (nevertheless, the liquid inside is what's most important!) The fourth release in the 'holiday spirits' series sees maturation in a combination of casks: namely, ex-bourbon, Port, and Madeira. The influence of dessert wines in the finishing process imparts fruit and spice flavours with yuletide associations, balanced with light smokiness. Non chill filtered. 46% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producer... Nose: Caramel, orange marmalade, berries, malty, coconut and dry raisins. Taste: Creamy, spicy, light smoke, butterscotch and barley. Finish: Rather long and warming notes with Cocoa, light peat and spices. Balances: An exotic and multi-faceted peated malt with deep, creamy flavours and a rich finish.
