Penderyn Single Cask Bourbon Matured Cask Strength Single Malt Welsh Whisky (700ml)

Since its inception in 2000, Master Distiller, Dr Jim Swan has been carefully monitoring the evolution of each of the barrels in the warehouse. More recently, he's commenced selecting one or two of the very best Penderyn single cask whiskies for release. They're bottled at cask strength without chill filtration.

Other reviews,.., [Notes indicative only as they refer to a different barrel] The unusual distilling process and some maturation in Madeira casks has given standard Penderyn a liqueur-like, perfumey quality many whisky fans don’t care for. This is a single bourbon cask bottling of the 11th cask the distillery ever filled, to mark its 10th anniversary, and is less cloying, less feminine, and more gutsy than the standard version. It’s also very palatable and of excellent quality.
