Poli Marconi 46 Gin (700ml)

From the Poli distillery, located north of the Veneto region, otherwise known for their first class grappas. The family's gin is artisanally distilled in a vacuum bain-marie pot still and obtained from a unique infusion of juniper berries, muscat grape, mountain pine, cembra pine, mint, cardamom and coriander.

Tasting note: Crystal clear / silvery blush. Outstanding lift and freshness to the bouquet with layered aromas of pine needle, lavender and juniper. Five minutes in the glass shifts the emphasis towards smoky cardamom, liquorice root and peppermint. Intense piney-juniper attack is moderately peppery, lively and super-fresh. Finish highlights cough lozenge and pine needle closing vibrant, peppery with late hints of cardamom in the fade. Effervescent, characterful and also beautifully presented. 46% Alc./Vol.
