Singleton of Dufftown Limited Edition 28 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The Singleton of Dufftown was launched in selected duty free outlets in 2006. Stylishly packaged in a traditional but distinctive 19th century-style blue glass flask, the whisky was matured in both American (bourbon) and European (sherry) oak casks, and is aimed at people who have an interest in single malt but who are perhaps trying it for the first time. The range has since expanded considerably with a more recent inclusion being this 28 Year Old cask strength limited edition, distilled in 1985 and bottled in 2013. Matured in American oak, 3,816 bottles were produced. We have one only to sell. 52.3% Alc./Vol.

Dufftown Distillery was founded on Speyside in 1896, and still draws its pure water from the same spring. The distillery was bought by Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd in 1933, along with Blair Athol, as part of the acquisition of Peter Mackenzie & Co Distillers Ltd. Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd were purchased by Guinness plc in 1985.
