A premium botanical style gin, South is the fresh new spirit from the 42 Below stable, makers of a premium Vodka’s from New Zealand.

Tasting note:  Alluring opening scent is stunningly baked and pod-like; further air contact releases aromas of moss, slate, charcoal and mint. Palate entry is bittersweet and grainy; at midpalate the juniper peeks out from the behind the luxurious curtain of wet earth, angelica, orris and green vegetation. Concludes on a sweet, juniper note and with a touch of warmth. Rating: 90-95 points

Other reviews... Clear. Creamy vanilla with faint citrus and berry notes. A round, supple entry leads to a smooth dryish medium-bodied palate with frosting, lemon pastry, white pepper, and faint spices. Finishes with a tingling hot fade of white pepper and lemon vanilla frosting.

60ml / 2 oz SOUTH Gin
Dash of Crème de Cassis
15ml / 5 oz Pineapple juice

In a shaker, add ingredients, and shake vigorously with ice. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
