Other reviews... Medium amber color. Rich brown butter, toffee, dried berry, and charred nut aromas with a touch of shellac. A soft, round entry leads to a smooth dryish medium-to full-bodied palate with sweet toffee, roasted nuts, anise, and spice flavors. Finishes with with long woody fade of toffee, mineral water, and brown spices. Nose: Keeps to itself initially, then fudge and candyfloss notes prevail, with fresh floor polish. Palate: Austere, quite dry for an instant, then lots of life bursts though. Bubble gum, lemon, brittle toffee. Finish: Lengthy and sophisticated. Less bourbon influence and fewer negative wood factors here. Comment: I was wrong!
