The Singleton of Dufftown 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Other reviews... mellowed enough with age to show a certain gentleness worthy of respect.
86.5 points - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2021
The Singleton of Dufftown was launched in selected duty free outlets in 2006 and made available to retail markets in 2008. Stylishly packaged in a distinctive 19th century-style 'flask', the whisky was matured in both American and European oak casks. Owned by Diageo, Singleton is presently their second largest distillery in terms of production, behind the recently built Roseisle facility, built in 2009. A staggering 5.8 million litres of spirit are produced at Dufftown, of which 97% goes to blends such as Bell's, Dewar's and Johnnie Walker. The distillery first drew water from Highlandman John’s Well in 1896 and continues to do so to this day.
