Tasting note: A sourced single malt from Boann Distillery. Brilliant copper / topaz in colour, the bouquet hits you with an impressive range of Bourbon and Oloroso notes including plum pudding, raisin cake, new leather and wine-soaked pears. Silky, round and sultry in the mouth, juicy dried fruit flavours combine with beautifully weighted malt. Mid palate sweetness gives way to hints of orange zest, dark chocolate and caramel fudge. Water accents coffee cake. Oozes character and charm. Gorgeous Irish. 46% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... Voluptuous, fruity nose of lemon meringue pie, Conference pear, and fudge, with floral top notes balanced by aromatic spices. The flavors are focused around orange, pear, and lemon, infiltrated by caramel and hectored by some abiding spice notes of ginger, clove, and pepper. Late gains made by honey and nougat at the end.
