Tigress Bay of Fires Pinot Noir Chardonnay Brut

This wine displays a short mousse and relatively short bead. Deep straw coloured base wine. Delicate top note of yeast lees and biscuit emerging followed by light almond and grassy back palate flavours. Clean acid finish. Some herbaceous characteristics emerge on the aftertaste.

First Tasted, August 2004: The wine displays a creamy mousse, with moderate sized bead and very good persistence. Deep straw colour. Aroma of biscuit, followed by a hint of mushroom, truffles and yeast lees. Creamy palate texture, with flavours of truffle and citrus followed by a hint of pear. Clean acid finish. Aftertaste of toast and yeast lees. An aperitif style.
