Turquoise Bay Amber Rum (700ml)

Mauritius is home to six distilleries and remains one of the few countries to offer both traditional and agricole style rums, dark, light and spiced, the latter usually infused with the island's abundant crops. Turquoise Bay is unusual, having been produced from molasses, however, a dash of Agricole rum is added for freshness. The final result is finished in x Cognac barrels.

Tasting note: Bright polished copper colour. Sweet scents of raw sugar, molasses, caramelised peach and light cinnamon. An elegant, silky, middle-weight rum with flavours of pineapple pudding, dilute golden syrup, liquorice bullets and sweet spice. Ends nicely balanced, medium dry and deceptively long.
