University Wine Training Kit
Developed by an Australian, Dr.Alan Young, with the help of the Centre of International Wine Studies at the University of Western Sydney and San Francisco’s International Wine Academy, this is the only kit in the world that provides training to an individual in the senses of smell, taste, touch and visualisation.
The kit makes a significant improvement on the original "Le Nous de Vin" education kit first developed by Jean Lenoir.
Included in the kit are the following:
Robert Mondavi comments: "For the serious wine enthusiast this book is a must. For anyone interested in wine, this book is a delight."
Noted American Wine writer, Robert Parker, commented on Making Sense of Wine in Decanter magazine when asked "Which are your favourite & most influential wine books?" He said:"In no particular order, Burton Anderson’s Vino, Emile Peynaud’s The Taste of Wine, Andre Simon’s Wines of the World, Alexis Lichine’s Encyclopedia of Wine, Hugh Johnson’s Wine & History of Wine, Michael Broadbent’s Great Vintage Wine Book, James Halliday’s Atlas of Californian Wines and finally, Alan Young’s brilliant "Making Sense of Wine Tasting."
The training kit adds a wonderful practical dimension to Alan Young's book and is sure to enhance the skills of beginners and professionals alike. The training kit is identical to Module 1 of the Wine Advisors Certificate (Level One) as used at the University of Western Sydney and at around A$100 dollars less then its entry level French counterpart, (Le Nous de Vin*), the University Wine Training Kit is destined to become the popular choice for wine enthusiasts in Australia and abroad.
* Les Nous de Vin is a French fragrance only kit with no video, textbook or wine compounds included. Its 25 fragrance version is currently available in Australia for around A$400.00.size>
