Marrying 42% 5 year old peated blended malt with 12 year old North British grain whisky has resulted in an enormous dessert-styled dram with the textural exuberance of a cask strength single malt. Sweet wood smoke melts into honey drizzled muesli, vanilla cream and dates as the mid palate gathers momentum becoming oily and mouth filling with flickering alcohol and a coastal tang bringing vibrancy to the finish. A bombshell that defies both its age and category. 57.1% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 618 bottles produced.
