A full bodied blend noted for its use of Lagavulin. In 2006, White Horse was awarded blended whisky of the year in Murray's 2007 Whisky Bible. Worth seeking out, especially in this value one litre format.
Other reviews... ...Not just the smoke which gives it weight, but you get the feeling that some of Diageo's less delicate malts have been sent to pack a punch. As long as they are kept in line, as is the case here - just - we can all enjoy a very big blend. 40% Alc./Vol.
90.5 points - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2013 ...Golden amber color. Aromas of praline, vanilla taffy, and creme fraiche with a soft, dry-yet-fruity light-to-medium body and toffee, sweet potato, citrus, and mossy earth accented finish. Try in a Blood and Sand cocktail.
