Wild Turkey Tradition 14 Year Old Bourbon Whiskey (750ml)
Note: Product has come from a private collection and as such may have some minor scuffing/scratches/handling marks. Actual product not pictured.
Reports have it that Wild Turkey only released about 14,000 bottles of their 14-year old. The bourbon is aged in heavier char oak for 14 years, then bottled at 101 proof in order to retain a “traditional” bourbon taste.
Released circa 2009 and now very rare, we have one bottle only to sell.Packaged in a wooden box replete with push in buttons on the side to release the lid, housing a handsome bottle nestled in a gold-flecked base. We can't recall a more impressively presented Bourbon!
Other reviews... Richly textured -- almost chewy -- with toffee, molasses, nougat, date, candy corn, ripe clementine, and raisin, peppered with dusty grain, cocoa powder, moss, Play-Doh, subtle mint, and herbs. Not as crisp or clean on the palate as the Wild Turkey American Spirit 15 year old, released a couple years ago (which I rated a 94), but it is still very good and rather therapeutic in nature. It makes for a nice digestif. This is a different style of Wild Turkey. There’s a good deal of wood influence. I suspect that some will like this a lot, while others might not warm up to it as much. It took a few encounters for me to embrace it.
