Wolfburn Cask Strength 7 Year Old Father's Day Special Bottling Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A follow up on last year's limited release, specially created to celebrate Father's Day in September. A fraction of the 1840 bottles produced have been allocated to the Australian market. The whisky itself is a shade over seven years old and comes matured in a combination of Oloroso Sherry butts and ex-Bourbon quarter casks. Once again, natural cask strength is a feature. 58.2% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the producers... A comforting Whisky, full of ginger, lemon, honey and floral/vanilla notes. The background of peat and heather are present but not overbearing as the palate opens up with citrus and buttery flavours, then flowing to grilled nuts and oat biscuits. The upfront sweetness is pulled through the palate by the light peat profile to a long and lasting finish. It sits comfortably at its abv and provides an abundance of drinking pleasure. Just add a roaring fire and a good book!
